AGGRAVATION is known as a "cross and circle board game" and is one of the many variations of the Indian game of PACHISI (PARCHEESI) , which originated in India in the 6th century. It is also known as WAHOO . T his large double sided game board is most attractive with the colors of fire engine red, black, white and bright turquoise blue, sunny yellow and deep turquoise blue. These colors are so appealing and are similar to the colors one sees on many Native American pieces of art work. This game is homemade, which gives it character, in a folk artsy kind of way. A great deal of work went into making these 2-sided game board. Look closely at the last photo where a red circle indicates the holes that are not quite perfectly lined up - an indication this was a handcrafted board and not made on an assembly line. T his game board is larger than most (24.5 inches square) and also contains more holes to move through on both the 6 player track side and the 4 player track side. Aggravation can be played by up to 6 players. This game board is double sided with a 6 player track on one side and a 4 player track on the other. Both sides include more holes to move through than most Aggravation Games. Instructions are included as well as dice and marbles in a vintage pouch. Aggravation differs from Pachisi in that up to 6 players can play, whereas Pachisi only accommodates up to 4 players. The name "Aggravation" is because of the aggravation you get when a player lands on your marble and sends it back to start. To play, you roll a dice and move your marbles clockwise around the board. The object of the game is to get all four of your marbles home. There are two shortcuts to get your marbles around the board and they are described in the included instructions.
