As player’s strategies unfold, the quantity of each Coin continues to build. The temptation to claim each Coin will increase as well – but don’t claim too soon, yet don’t wait too long! Players strive to claim as many of each coin as possible. As they play their cards to matching quantities of coins, their claim to their fortune begins. But players are limited to the number of different coins they may claim. No two players may claim the same Coin, so the timing of when to claim is a key strategy. Once a card is played, the matching Coin quantity may be claimed, provided the cards for all lower quantities for that Coin have already been played. Claim a coin too early, and you will collect fewer coins, but wait too long, and another player may steal the Coin from you. In addition, an opponent may hold a “Wild” card – which may be played anywhere at any time – and claim your intended Coin. Combine a few other twists including “dead” cards, and an occasional forcing of a player to claim a very low quantity of Coins, and you have a very fun, easy to play strategy game called Cromlet!
