Fences A Tile Laying Board Game

Fences is a farm-themed tile-laying area-control game with a set-collecting Mechanic. Tile laying 84 square tiles (for 4 players), fewer players use fewer tiles Tiles have fences, cows, pigs, and sheep Area Control Each player has 4 hen houses Used for claiming farms Score points when a farm is closed Set Collecting 36 unique farmer cards. Score points when you close opponent’s farms Points based on what animals are in or not in opponent’s farm Similar to Carcassonne in that the game is based on laying tiles to build a landscape. Different from Carcassonne in that each tile has at least two farms so each tile that builds on your farm, will inevitably add to your opponents’. The profile cards make each game and your strategy very different so no two games feel the same! With 36 unique farmer profile cards, each game is very different. Each profile card could use a different strategy, especially depending on what other profile cards are being played. Claim as many farms as possible to score the most points! Score points by closing many of your opponents’ farms before they can place animals. Put pigs in your opponent’s all-cow field to limit his points. Your strategy may continuously change as the game plays!
