A NEW EDITION OF A CLASSIC GAME: Maharaja is a new edition of the classic game by the authors Wolfgang Kramer and Michael Kiesling. This new version of the game is ehanced with new graphics, components and mechanics.
AREA CONTROL STRATEGY GAME: Move across the land building both statues and shrines in the cities, in order to get the majority when the Maharaja visit them. Build also your shrines along the roads to move from one city to another, and if other players pass your shrines, they’ll need to pay a donation to you.
GAIN POWERFUL ALLIES: As you work to build your statues and shrines, you’ll be able to call upon the help of several possible special characters. These characters will grant you special abilities that when used strategically, can swing the game in your favor.
HIGHLY VARIABLE: Maharaja is a complex game. In addition to the rules for an introductory game, the end of the rulebook contains a list of possible variations to create an ever-new experience.
NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND AVERAGE PLAYTIME: Maharaja is a strategic area control game for 1 to 4 players and is suitable for ages 12 and older. Average playtime is approximately 90 minutes.
