Modular Hex Tile Battle Board Starter Set, Battletech Maghex This is a starter set for my Modular Hex Tile Game Board using my 3D printed modular hex tiles in mech/true/6mm  scale, meaning the terrain is in scale with the mech Miniatures. The hex tiles are the same size as the hexes on the CGL/FASA game maps. This game board is the same size as the paper maps found in the CGL Battletech Starter Boxes and perfect for smaller games. This is a 100+ piece modular hex tile terrain game board for Battletech. There are more pieces if you include the frame parts. The map is the same size as the CGL paper maps that come in the box sets. The tiles are not magnetized but do have the mounting holes on the underside of each tile if you want to magnetize them with 3mm ball magnets. The frame pieces are magnetized with 8mm x 3mm disk magnets to hold it in place on a magnetic white board. To help keep costs down you may receive tiles with lifted corners. But if these lifted corners do not affect the top of the tile or how they fit with others there are still useable for game. You may not be able to mount a magnet in the corner but you do not need to magnetize these tiles to use them as shown.
Each tile is printed in normal resolution (I believe 0.18 mm layer height) to help with the texture detail of each piece. If you wish to paint the pieces I recommend applying a layer of watered down white hobby glue (like Elmers) to smooth out the layer lines. Each tile is textured to represent the terrain type they are and are printed in different colors depending on the terrain type for easy recognition. A few tiles are printed with reminder text.
This board can be set up the way shown in the pics above or however you want to suit your game. No two games have to be fought in the same battlefield again.

With the light and heavy woods, the tiles are designed to allow miniatures to rest flat on top of the trees.
