Ludicrous Systems Development LSD, A Psychedelic Happening Construction Kit 1966 Waltham, MA: American Publication Corporation, 1966. First edition. 20 pieces in original box. A psychedelic game with no instructions, no winner, no loser, no time limit, and no specific objective. It consists of a random assortment of 20 interlocking pieces that can be put together into sculptures, collages, or other constructions, with no purpose other than to create trippy, psychedelic spectacles. The illustrated cards in these kits varied by color and pattern, they are not all the same adding to the items rarity. Issued the year youth culture exploded, this game was quickly withdrawn from sale due to its obvious drug connections only helping to cement its desirability in the decades to follow.
