A two-sided board (check and star) Halma (from the Greek word meaning "jump") is a board game invented in 1883 or 1884 by an American plastic surgeon at Harvard Medical School, George Howard Monks. An English game called Hoppity was the inspiration. Additional Rules of play include: Quick-Halma, Halma-Solo, Corner-Halma, Gobang, Tippy, and Cats and Mice. The Otto Maier Verlag Ravensburg today is known as Ravensburger. But the RAVENSBURGER SPIELE-VERLAG GMBH was founded in the year 1992, so all games before 12/1992 are from the "Otto Maier Verlag" in Ravensburg. The Games were always known as the "Ravensburger Spiele" Date of manufacturer is unknown. Please review the photos. You will receive exactly what is pictured.
