THIS IS AN EXPANSION TO ESCAPE THE DARK CASTLE: This is not a standalone experience. You will need a copy of Escape the Dark Castle in order to play with this expansion.

COOPERATIVE HORROR ADVENTURE GAME: Escape the Dark Castle is a simple fantasy adventure game with a focus on storytelling, atmosphere and player cooperation. Players take the roles of prisoners and work together using custom dice and item cards to overcome the castle’s many horrors, traps and challenges.

The Plague Lord is a monstrous, sentient mass of weeping pustules and proud emanator of an all-encompassing evil. It would be his most perverse pleasure to watch as you slowly succumb to the agonising torment of the Plague.

NEW CONTENT: This expansion adds fifteen new castle locations, three new playable prisoners, a new boss and introduces a new Plague mechanic to the game. Prisoners may encounter Carriers - plague-infected lunatics bent on spreading the disease. Prisoners can contract, spread, and even succumb entirely to this rampant atrocity, adding a new dimension and weight to the game’s risk-reward decisions.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND AVERAGE PLAYTIME: This thrilling cooperative adventure game is made for 1 to 4 players and is suitable for ages 14 and older. Average playtime is approximately 45 minutes.
