Vtg Awale / Oware African Mancala Board Game

Vintage Awale/Oware African Mancala board game that comes with a beautifully crafted wooden elephant game board. This game is perfect for 2 players and is a game with a rich history in African culture with roots from the game Mancala. Very nice red stained, smoothed wood finish with an etched elephant on the front of the game case. There are 12 indentations on the inside where the game is played with seeds, beads, or pebbles which are not included. The case opens and closes with two aftermarket hinges. The hinges have 5 gold colored screws and two tacks and one has a partial screw. The wood is in very nice shape, and this version of Awale/Oware is a really cool collectible piece with the elephant imagery.
